Hey guys,

I have a 76 Fj55 that keeps blowing fuses on the gauge/heater circuit (20A). Before I go and tear everything apart, is there anything common that I should know about?

thanks in advance

Not sure about a common problem. Does it blo w/ the heater switched off? If so, then look toward the cluster for a hot wire touching metal somewhere. That circuit has the heaters(front and rear), the gauges, transfer indicator light, front drive solenoid(if equipped), the reverse light switch and light, seat belt buzzer, brake warning light and parking brake light on it. Start disconnecting things one at a time to find the source of your problem. Wish it were easier than that...HTH

Thanks for the reply Boss,

I had the heaters going and the lights-a-flashin last night while i was wiggling wires, but it didnt blow. i should check the reverse switch wiring though; that was the last thing i worked on.
thanks for the tip
