I've got a Mark's speedo adapter box, gotta have one to get the truck through engineering with the lift and tyres. Does 33 and 35 at the flick of a switch. Very handy for the speed cameras:D
17s a heap better though than 23

Not really the smartest suggestion but have you tried working from home or living at work? :D

I'm a doctor and I drive an 80 series with 1HD-T and an automatic. Fuel economy is good but not fantastic.

I just live in the doctor's callroom now. Free cable TV, free internet, hot water, small kitchen. Just have to share with 8 other mates during office hours and the 2 or 3 that go on call at night. Nice parking spot, too. I guess that's what they mean by Resident Physician. hahaha.

Remember: Your tires will make a difference to your odometer. An old trick a truckie told me about his 80 was that buying larger tyres dropped the odo, so mud tyres are sometimes a little bigger in the tread, that will affect what you think you're getting slightly. I filled up again today and got my calculator out and got 17.5l which sounds about right. Sorry.. wrong calcs before!

That & less rolling resistance too :hhmm:

After this set of tires, going to try Copper ST 255/85R16, which is pretty light too - 3.5kg/8lb lighter per tire than the 285/75. Both sizes hv similar revolutions per mile.

Oh yeah... measure distances by GPS :p
