Man, I can see it now as I melt in the seat from the heat radiating/convecting from my roof when it hits 112 in Arizona. Maybe it will work where you live, but 90 days of 100+ highs begs to not only leave it white but I also had the headliner removed and plush carpet glued in for added insulation. It works great and looks much nicer than the factory headliner.Mozzio said:Wouldn't it get awfully hot with a black top?
Right! It's only a dry heat. Let me share with you how driving in 110-125 degree heat with no AC is like living in a convection oven. You literally have to close the vents to keep from getting burned on your lower legs when you make a 75mph trip between Tucson and Phoenix. That along with two gallons of water and no need for a pit stop is why I could care less how cool it looks. Out here in the southwest only an idiot would do it. I spent a year in Morocco and not one cruiser I saw in the desert had a cool black top.john0089 said:Black roofs look kick ass when done right.....take your top off, or take your doors off in the summer
