Hi folks,
Just picked up my first cruiser, a 2004 LC with the Black Garnet Pearl paint. (Code 3Q2)

I’m keeping it bone stock for now other than some wheels and tires. I’ve scoured the web to find different wheel combos with the Black garnet. Black wheels are the safest bet, but I’m not opposed to a little spunk, been looking at some method bronze colors as well. Would love to hear/see what others have done to their 3Q2 color cruisers.

Really my only thought is about the lower exterior door trim, it’s a grey color. So maybe something that ties that in, but idk. I’d love for the whole look to have a little feng shui…just be easy on the eyes.

If you’ve seen some Black Garnet Pearls in the wild, tell me what you’ve seen that looks good! I’ve found one picture online with the method 312 wheels in bronze. I attached that pic here (not my crusier) I know it’s a dumb question but appreciate your insight. TIA

Congrats on scoring a 100 in the best color ever offered. Okay sure, I'm a little biased.

While I'm a big fan of bronze wheels, your point about the gray accents kept me in the gray family - I didn't want to introduce a 4th color, i.e. garnet, black, gray, bronze. I don't like black wheels. They just disappear in anything other than direct light and blend with the tires and wheel openings.

I went with medium gray (inspired by the old Land Cruisers) and black lugs - ties in with the other gray and black:

Man that looks great! I think the grey looks very good with it all color schemes. Are those nomads?

Glad to know I’ll be in good company with the black garnet. It is quite a vibe!

Nope; they're just Tundra steel wheels - usually found under the bed as a spare. They're tough to find on the east coast - Tundra's got a different (5-point star) steel wheel over here. Idaho might be far enough West to make finding these easier.
