@diesel22 yeah, windshield replacements in our 100s are kind of (definitely) a bit of (giant) hassle (pain in the ass). Finding a shop that has the preferred glass AND is familiar with the rivets AND has the rivets is the first battle. I just had the glass replaced in my 100. That was the 3rd time for me and I'm the second owner. I bought the truck when it was 4-yrs-old with 39,000 miles, so maybe it was still on the first windshield.
After countless calls to glass shops - most of whom said they couldn't get the glass (or were too lazy to find it) - I ended up back at Safelite. The guy there was a pro. He explained a lot of what I'd read here:
100 Series Windshields. He added that once screws have been used, rivets are likely not going to work. He also added that once the holes get to a certain size, the rivets that match the OD don't fit the space - I don't remember if was referring to the depth needed, or the flange diameter.
