so did you score a good deal friday. Planning on getting a good deal on cyber monday? Share it with us. All we did is shop for everyone else. I want a tablet but no dinero right now!:crybaby:

If an ipad is a tablet save your money. We have two of them and the only time they are used is to entertain a toddler or occasionally provide a kindel type of reading service to the wife. My 7 ye old Sony lap top is faster on the web and much easier to type and browse on than the ipad. Now that u can get angry birds on your computer I consider tablets obsolete

My wife has an iPad and has it sync'd with work, home, etc email. She doesn't even have a laptop or computer anymore (she barely uses her work laptop now as well).

Depends on what you do with it I suppose.

I wouldn't expect a Gamecock fan to be smart enough to feel comfortable with such a complicated piece of hardware in his hands anyway. Let the kids stick too it, I am sure they will program your TV remote for you as well.

i can't really use a tablet for my line of work since my line of work involves about 3%computer and 97% hand tools.

As for brains having anything to do with it...i type/misspell at about 75-90 wpm...i can't go on my insane rants nearly as quickly on an ipad. The touch screen just isn't speed type friendly.

For me...being that i can't use the ipad at work to keep up with important emails, stocks, bar graphs, pie charts and whatever else is important to people who wear dress shoes and ties to work.

So to me the ipad is a toy and nothing more, an expensive toy that is good for video games and is not very fun to type on.

The video games are not even all that great. If i had a choice to have the ipad or a ps3 i would have chosen the ps3.

the ipad won't even run anything adobe.

Back when i had netflix it was good having the ipad so i could let my son watch Diego and thomas while i watched Top Gear and Arrested Development.

But again...it was being used as a toy not as anything that made my life any easier or fun.

I can't remember how much they were, we got them the first xmas they were avaliable...which was last year IIRC

I would have rather spent the money on a week in sourthern florida.

Flash is done on the whole mobile device platform. You can put a fork in it. I will say there is a lot of game factor in the ipad. I certainly use it. I also use it for surfing sites. I think it's far easier to navigate the web with it over a mouse. I have found that my kids can actually learn from it as well. There are some really good apps for that. The best part is it's portable. You just cannot get that from a PC. Even a laptop is cumbersome and slow compared to it. I don't see the tablet platform replacing the PC but I do see the desktop coming to an end. It's okay to not like new technology. But the tablet is here to stay.

Auto zone is giving you a $25 gift card if you spend $100 using thw ship to home option. Includes free shipping. Ends up being cheaper than rock auto for the parts I'm sourcing for the nova. Sale ends tonight at midnight.

Guns n gears :)

Does black saturday and cyber wednesday count? :D
