I had Black Diamond stuff on my Ford truck years ago. I tought Warn dropped that whole line? Who's selling it now?

I tried that lift on my 70 model, it was horribly stiff and had no flex. It would literally bounce you right out of the seat on the highway. I got rid of it for the Old Man Emu 4 Lift. Huge improvement.

I'm running that lift on my '78 FJ40. I installed it about 2yrs ago, just about the time Warn sold off the Black Diamond line to Superlift. I don't know if much has changed with respect to the manufacturing of the springs, but I like the ones I have. Better than stock and better than the Rancho springs I had on my '71. Plenty of flex, nice soft ride. The kit I purchased also came with Black Diamond shocks. Since the install, the only suspension mods I've made were to add 1" over stock length shackles. Hope this helps...

i found it at rocky mountain suspension. i have read nothing but good things about OME, but i just think its in my budget.i want some flex, but i live in mississippi and there is not any rock climbing going on down here. 80% of the off-road time is mud, sloughs, creeks, and sand bottoms. from time to time we do have wash outs, so i do need some of the flex.

If you are looking for a budget lift I would look to skyjacker 4"...

I got mine on a free shipping weekend from 4wheelparts.com for $600 w/ shocks. I have run the lift for almost 4 years, once broken in, the ride is pretty good, no sag, and I have BEATEN on these springs. I've had jeep guys comment on how easily the springs flexed bumpstop to bumpstop. (the 38/37" tires make a big difference in that department-more leverage from wider tires and the ride is better and the springs flex better.

I would buy them again...

I had a black diamond setup around here for a while. Never put it on because it seemed to be a carbon copy of the old Burbank three leaf "Kidney busters". I finally put them on a rig that I was setting up for long runs with heavy loads. BIG mistake!!!. Unbelievably stiff. TERRIBLE!!! The only reason I did not cut them up with a torch when I took them off was because I was low on acetelyn when I drug them out of the shop.

I HATE THEM and wouldn't put them under any rig.
