Thanks to everyone that helped me out yesterday getting hold of the BJ70 wiring diagrams... I have a RHD Aussie BJ70 and the previous owner had some very inventive electrical techniques that I'm trying to rectify. I just want to do a sanity check on a few things, I'm sure one of you gurus will be able to answer this quickly.
- If I turn on the low beam headlights I should measure 12V (roughly) across the red/blue (or red/black) and red/green wires/terminals of the right headlight. Sound right? I have tried to show this below.
- If I turn on the high beam headlights I should measure 12V (roughly) across the red/blue (or red/black) and red/yellow wires/terminals of the right headlight. Sound right?
- Does anyone know what the "EL" and "ED" abbreviations on the dimmer and light control switches on the schematic I've included here stand for?
- Seems like the dimmer and light control switches are completing the path to ground and not the path to 12V. Right?
