I am contemplating selling my BJ70, and would appreciate any suggestions to establish fair pricing: this beast is lurking in my garage. I am the 2nd owner. BJ70, purchased off the lot in November 30, 1985 for C$14,997.00, Canadian specification, 12V DC, 284,000Km (6,000Km/pa each of the last three years), solid and rust free frame, frame steam cleaned & over-coated with 2-part rust proof paint, custom metalic body-paint, rino-liner on interior bed (all body work September '07), 2.5 inch OME lift, TOYOTA muffler, sway bar links, alternator, hand fuel primer pump, adjust valves & replace VC gasket, starter & bendix gear, drain & replace all fluids (all Dec'07), knuckles, bearings, rotors, disk pads, cotter pin (all Dec'06). Bumpers sand blasted, primed and coal-tar epoxy overcoating with rino-liner finish, custom tie-downs. New rear door retainer. Body was gone over with a fine tooth comb prior to painting, and re-made as required - no filler, only metal.

All body work by Chandu Nair, RIVERWAY AUTOBODY (LC cruiser specialists); except bumpers by BUICK Sandblasting; engine & mechanical by Ciaran Wilson, CRUISERLAND; brakes & steering by Steve Tatu, EBI Port Moody; regular service and maintenance by ROYAL TOYOTA and their successors. Original colour-matched 15 inch TOYOTA wheels with MICHELIN X tyres (see first image), original, unused 1985 DUNLOP spare, hub caps, 5 brand new DUNLOP 17 inch FJ Cruiser Wheels & tyres, with 1 inch spacers (see second image), type III tow hitch with 7 pin harness, original tool kit. Other work performed by previous owner, such as replacement water pump, remove and service injector pump, and so on are all documented. Vehicle always stored inside & any examination of the underbody or engine compartment fastenings shows just what a difference this makes. Not winter driven, undercarriage power washed at regular intervals.

Driver's side seat cloth heavily worn, small tear in rear bench seat, CD/MP3 radio has an intermittent speaker fault. Driver's side front wing replaced by TOYOTA about 5-years ago after a male/female car spat (she lost), alloy trim on rear step-down dinged, rear bumper has pin holes in one area (still plenty of metal), .

No shakes or rattles. Not mudded, immersed, crawled over rocks, or even seriously off roaded. Recent trips to the Okanagan, Portland, OR, and so on. Cruises at 100-120Km/h all day. Usual untraceable oil leak of about 1 dip per day when driven, virtually none when idle. Original light bulbs in most receptacles, but brighter headlamps installed at the time of original purchase. New wing mirrors. All lights, gauges, switches, gears, front and rear heaters, seat suspension, four wheel drive components are fully functional. No gear box issues. Clean, straight, and unspoiled.
