Hello everyone. I found a BJ70 1985. Not realy expensive but... no rear seat... and 4 persons in my family. So I have a problem !

I suppose the rear seat from Toyota are realy expensive ! So any idea for me ? Someone already fit another kind of seat in BJ70 ?

Contact Greg or Sheldon at www.gscruiserparts.com...they might have some seats lying around. The BJ74 seats should fit, but they are moved forward a little bit compared to the BJ70's, so there's not as much leg room in the back. If you don't mind this, the good part is that you gain a little bit of room in the cargo area.

Hi, David. I have a rear seat you can buy; it's from a '85 parts truck we have. It's a brown one; if it matches, great, if not, maybe you don't mind...

Email me taylormr@sympatico.ca or call 613-866-0329 and we can discuss it. I'm in Ottawa and the truck is located just north of Winchester. It wouldn't be far at all for you to come and pick it up.

Mike... another rear seat question...

Is your 70 rear seat have the mount to fix it or only the seat...

And how about the rear seat belt ?

Just so everyone knows, the mounting points for the BJ70 and the BJ74 aren't the same. There is some custom fabrication needed to make them fit into one another.

Craig.

I still have to get out there and have a look at it, David. I should be able to very soon. I'll let you know.

I still don't know if I would bye the 70 cruiser without the rear seat... but if your anwser will maybe help me to make a final choice.

thank
