nothing bubble gum can't fix :slap:.

Yeah I'm not a fan of the tires I have, will be upgrading in a year or two to either BF goodrich, or the goodyears with kevlar. my biggest fear is a front blowout on the highway.

My back hurts just from looking at that. Mike is still young and can lift those monster. I'm too old and lazy :)
It's true, Mike is still a stud. Unless you need him to run, or do manual labor.

It's a heavy SOB, that's for damn sure

I will say that the runflats only come with the H1 wheels with the runflat inserts. To my knowledge, you can't do runflats with these tires and regular steel wheels.

I can fit run flats in mine, they are just recentered H1 wheels. This hobby gets so expensive so fast. When did prepping for the zombie apocalypse become so expensive? How do red necks in the middle of no where do it?

Because they drive K5 blazers and drink keystone lol.

This just arrived. Really heavy. Gonna have to figure out how to lift it to the roof.

Muscled it on there. I'm not gonna lie, about halfway through I began regretting it as it started to slip back on me. Anyway long story short it's on there in time for my son's bday. The vehicle is too tall so I have to use the spare tire for the ladder to reach. Sorry about the night pictures, will take better ones tomorrow In the daylight. It also came with the changing room/annex, but too lazy to put it on just for a photo.

I'm seriously getting too old.

I climbed up there, there was a pucker factor involved as things settled and creaked. I'm 225-230lbs depending , so a little bit scary. Good thing Aurora is a solid 105 lbs.

All that's left on my to do list for the year is to regear and enjoy the expo trips.

Nice dude, seriously jealous... I think they make and sell an extension for the ladder.

J

they do, but I'm seriously tightening my belt for the time being. I can't get orders to go overseas with the military, the civilian jobs are taking their time to respond and I'll be off disability next week.

Here are some day pictures. I drove it around a bit, can't really tell it's on there. I can still corner like I was before, I'm sure if I got highway I'll feel the difference.
Just a note, matching the Baja rack with the cvt tent isn't ideal because both rails are at the same distance. So you have to move it an inch to the left or right. So if you're not ocd like me and like symmetry it's not an issue. Anyway here are the day pics, I'll post more this evening when we sleep in it.

I should say that the neighbors think I'm even weirder than before.

Edit: forgot to mention, packing the tent is a two man Job if you want all the stuff to fold correctly and not overhang on the side

Ok took my son on saturday to the lake for his Bday party (we had it 2 days ahead of his real birthday ) snapped some generic pics. He still thinks that cinqo de mayo is a celebration of his birthday, I'm wondering at what age he's gonna figure that out.

Our plan was to camp there, but they wanted $25 for the night. So we came home and camped in the backyard.

It's really comfortable inside and it helps that the bathroom is just inside the house.

I have a ladder extension you can borrow. I didn't see your invite until late yesterday. I was tied up working on the house and pig all day yesterday.

I hope your son had a great time.

No worries dave, we can hang out at the lake another time. Alex had a blast, his favorite part was sleeping in the tent of course. How's your pig coming along?

I now need a 416 trailer to tow either the tent or my kayak so I can have both. Will get on that after I get work.

Thanks, but until I get a real full time job, I'm out of excuses with Aurora on buying more Apocalypse Necessary Equipment or as you guys call them, toys.

I just ordered a knuckle rebuild kit from Kurt. Gonna do the knuckles when I swap out the 3rds. Sooo not excited about this job.
