205 seems fine but I’m from LS land
205 isn't bad, but rises fast when towing and at elevation. I want that extra cushion. 205 is perfect for my SBC 350, but seems high with Big Red when I used to cruise at highway speeds at 190*

Have you played with the fuel screw? Turn it down a smidge to see how she does.
I have not. I like the way it responds and how quickly it boosts. I'm leery about messing up the settings, it's a beast now, just need to lower the temp a bit. I might try the engine oil cooler first to see if that gets me to where I want to be. Of course, I'm headed out of town, so it might be a few weeks before I can get back to this.

My compound 4bt runs like 190ish but gets upto 205-210 over CO mtn passes. Remind me, do you have turbo blankets on both of them and have the downpipe wrapped? That reduced quite a bit a radiant heat that soaks the entire engine bay once under higher loads. And what fan setup do you have on it?

Yup, both turbos have blankets and the downpipe is wrapped. I have two electric fans, one puller and one pusher that move a ton of air. I like the fueling settings right now cause I can get to 60psi if I need it. So hoping this engine oil cooler can just drop it ten degrees.
When I was in Colorado I was hitting 230 fast, but I was pulling a trailer and I'm regeared to 3.73s.

Mine runs 180-190 on flat ground in the summer but gets up around 210 on grades. Maybe 215-220 on steep grades with the 42s installed.

4.88's with my 42's. It's definitely plenty of gear.

I also did a 6BT oil cooler on mine.
I thought about the 6BT oil cooler. But I didn't want to tax the radiator and coolant more. Do you feel like it improved your temps?

I had it done with a full rebuild of my engine last year so can't really comment.

Long story, but I only put like 40k on it since I bought it "rebuilt" in 2008 before installing, but had dip**** mechanics work on it who used way too much ether/starting fluid and I suspected I had internal damage so i had it torn apart. It has different pistons now.
