My good buddy and fellow cruiserhead Indy showed up to help me work on my motorcycle.

While there, this shows up.

Yup, the wife decided the dogs are too old to get in the truck or the land cruiser so she bought them a station wagon. Of course it also happened to be red. She swears it was not on purpose, now we are the house on the block with 4 red cars. The silver lining is it's a turbo diesel.

Found these in my shed, decided it's time to put them on.

It took lot of forcing and dexterity and time to get them on. It's mostly due to my limited space and range of motion in my hand. But they got on. For the large turbo, I had to wedge it in and kinda Jerry rig it. We'll see how long it stays on.

I also highly recommend wearing safety goggles and growing a pandemic beard. The beard saved me from certain facial scarring.

I will report back if there's a noticeable difference.

Went to check out another possible project build with my buddy Indy. On our way there, managed to get the boost needle passed the 60psi mark with inches left on the pedal before it hits the metal.

I think I can get it to 85psi easily. But am too scared at this point. Maybe even 100psi

I think we're gonna pass on this project and focus on another.

Out of curiosity, what's the price on that 912?
They wanted 20k, but 7 to 12 is what it should realistically go for. Needs a full engine rebuild and a few other things before it's streetable.

I would have put in a 6 cylinder engine.

sorry buddy, couldn't help but laugh :D
Yup. I'm cracking up while posting this. My phone has been blowing up all morning with these pics.

if you guys want to send that north, specifically s/w ontario, i'm very ok with it :hillbilly:
The worst part is, I'm not even in town to enjoy it. Wife has been sending me these pics all day.

Today I learned that it's illegal to drive on a river bed. Game warden enjoyed giving a lecture. They should have a sign on the road that leads to it that's says it's illegal to drive on a river bed.

You live you learn.

I was actually turning back to get big red so I can go over some obstacles when the game warden showed up.

I did a little maintenance today on the trailer. Checked the bulbs and wires and repainted a few spots.

Then it was time to install the solar panel. It was an easy job but had the wife help with her smaller hands. While I was on the roof rack I touched up some spots with black paint that looked like they had seen better days.

After zip tying everything I took it for a spin. Seems to work fine and charges the battery fairly quickly. Will see how well it does over the summer.

Any recommendations or preferences shock absorbers? Looking for some that can handle a 6-8 inch lift with remote reservoirs.
