Yep, I have them in the 285/70/18, and they're great. I had the KO2s on before, and I think the Nittos are a better tire all around. Very quiet on the highway and awesome in the rain. I always get pissed at people doing 40 when it's raining, when I'm ready to go 70. :)
I would do 285/70/18 but they only come in Mud tires from what I’ve found.
I second having 285/70/18's and their road behavior

. I live in the high country in Colorado and they also do quite well in snow and ice. Not as good as a dedicated snow tire, but adequate.

This thread is relevant to my interests. 👍

My use case is sand and snow, definitely want width over excessive height.

Agreed. Taco's, 4Rs, and GXs are running 285 (and larger) all day long. As a larger heavier rig, having more floatation can matter. It's not like we lack for power either.

Here's another great size:

Chiming in here. I bought my FJ100 with 285/70/18s.

When a nail hit the side wall of my discontinued Michelins I took that as the invitation I needed to replace for the KO2s I always wanted.

Only one problem .... KO2s don't come in 285/70/18s.

We put 285/65/18s on and it just didn't look right.

Turns out 305/65/18s are 0.1" smaller in diameter, so I went with those.

BUT they rubbed ever so slightly until a local shop suggested I use a heat gun to remold the plastic around the wheel well...here

Guys do we have tire specs on this truck? Seen the photo several times before. I like the beefy. I think these are like 325’s on 20’s maybe? Help

Bump.

Who's truck is this? I feel like I've seen this truck a bunch in photos and I'm wondering who it is so I can get tire specs. Thanks,

This rig is from way back and I don't think he's on the boards anymore. His handle isn't registered anymore @Overlake .

From what I can gather, it's a 305/65R18 on +18mm offset wheels.

You're always there for me! Thank you.

A/T KO2's, 315/70/17
- The sires are now out of round and make an annoying hum at speed. Is the only option to trash them, or can they somehow be fixed?

Tire shaving used to be a thing, but I haven’t found a tire shop to do it in the PNW. Been kinda looking.

It’s a no go in Cali.

Can you sell them a s a used set? Maybe someone needs a couple spares for camping and has a x2 tire carrier.
