Great thread!! Like someone posted earlier, it has been forever since I last bought a bike, over 25 years ago. I picked it up while in college from Ken @ Ken's Bike Shop in W-S. Some of you triad folks have probably crossed paths with Ken. I put 1000s of miles of that bike over the years.

Fast forward to current day, old, fat and out of shape. Even though I still own and love that bike, it isn't exactly a good fit right now. We recently took my little guy's training wheels off and now he wants to go, go, go so this seemed like a perfect opportunity to get back into it, riding with him.

So I basically picked up the bike version of the Fat Boy ala Arnold in T2. Very fitting... :grinpimp:

Haha...priorities my friend. How else I am going to safely transport my cerveza to the pool??

I actually think the 1st mod was the under seat red LED bike tail light. Safety first! :beer:

@cruiser4life great looking bike. You have to have a cup holder.

So, a glutton for punishment, and to get me ready for a potential company sponsored bike trip through Death valley, I've signed up for this...

BOONE GRAN FONDO

So, I need to get more mt. Bike trips under my belt and then venture into the world of tight spandex and road biking ;)

I have some medium spandex you can have :)

If you guys make it down to Uwharrie anytime soon let me know, its some of my favorite riding in the area. Not exacly a gazelle going up hill, but I am always up for a ride.

@pkniland
How do you like the Yakima rack? Is it the Hold Up 2 model? Is it adjustable? Thinking of using it between the 40, 80 and 100.
Do you think it would stick out far enough to clear a fullsize spare on a swingout rear bumper? i.e. a 35” on my 80

Got this from harbor freight. Hitch extender so I can open the tailgate with bike rack installed. Not really good for wheeling with a rack but great for everyday use around town.
