Let the blows fly! I am due for a sneaker replacement and can get the BF KM3 and General X3 for basically the same price.... Running 285/75R16 's... Your thoughts?

Red head, blonde or brunette . Its really just personal preference at this point

Really? Everybody's got an opinion... Ive heard good stuff from 'Merica and Australia about the Grabbers...But then, BFG has probably been the stalwarts from the beginning of MT's....

I went for the KM3s just recently. No road time yet so no review. They smell new and look fantastic

i put coopers on one cruiser and the KM3s on another. for the conditions we have here the coopers are proving to be a better tire. there are so many factors to consider.

Truer words have not been spoken! Not really getting good reviews on the Coopers here in RSA.

The BFGs weigh 2 lbs. less per and have a .3" wider track width. That's the only 'technical' difference I can see.

I would personally go with BFGs if the money were the same between the two, primarily because of their long-standing reputation.

Sometimes where you BUY your tires makes a difference. Some will offer 30-45 day trial runs.

My point exactly. Everyones got an opinion. I run km3's, ran toyo mt before. Would probably go with KO's if i wanted an A/T as i don't really like the looks of most A/T tires.

I’ve put general grabbers on my friends Chevy truck about a year ago. They are holding up great. With grabbers you can get their cool red sidewall. However if they are the same price as KM3’s, go with BFG. They are usually more expensive

Currently, I am running the KO2 and love them as far as road noise is concerned. I have run the General Grabber AT2 as well and loved those too as far as road noise and handling in the snow. The Cooper Discover STT I have run as well. They were a great tire in the mud, several times I wheeled in the thick clay of the mountains around San Diego and did not have to shift into 4wd in my Xterra.

Eventually, when I upgrade size to 37s I am going to run the KM3 just do to the name and reviews from my friend how has run the KM2 on his Nissan Frontier.

@SOAZtim is putting some BFG KM3's to the test in Central and South America. He might be able to provide some feedback.
Thanks Zack.
We are racking up the miles on the truck since we essentially drive for a living right now. Haha. Very aired down we chunked a couple spots, but honestly spinning tires in mud with some occasional sharp rocks I expect that. Otherwise we're shocked how quiet they are and we beat the hell out of them. Already over 20,000 miles much of them off-road and all is well. We are trying to rotate them every 5 to 7k.
For the Southwest I still prefer KO2's, but in the jungle mud I am loving these KM3's.

This review is great for us few that are thinking of running the KM3.

I love the BFG name but I wish some of their tires were kevlar reinforced like the MTR. The MTR I think is an ideal tire for the AZ trails. There can be some sharp rocks out there on the trails.

I have always had good luck with BFG's (even the AT's), however, I do prefer the older style tread pattern on the MT's over the newer tread pattern. Ran many, many sets of MT & AT from BFG, never had a lemon or a failure of any kind. Unfortunately, around here the BFG MT's have gotten too pricey making other brands possibilities for my next set.
