In my opinion and terrain here, you have plenty of traction with 12,5 wide on hard surfaces, but they are awfully skinny for soft swamp. Cut's through really easy. I'd like 33x15,5 Swamper TSL SX.

Some pics of my 33x12,5 TSL on 15x10, also have 33x12,5 BfG All Terrain for daily driving.

nice 60! is that purple or black?

It's purple, from european ford, can't remember name now, but can find it if needed. I love it, PO had it painted.

35x10.5-15LT Interco Boggers would be nice to enhance my roadkill abilities.

30-FIVE x 10.5? Now that would be a skinny tire.

Yeah, it'd be beautifull Cruiser porn.:grinpimp:

i think if i was going thru mud like i just saw from finland i would be looking for soething closer to 15.50 wide too. for where i wheel the 35x10.50 would be sick, even though it sorta goes against the laws of physics;)

damn thats some thick s***, is that whole trail like that? looks fun:grinpimp:

It's not mud, it's kind of a swamp thing, key is to crawl with your foot of the gas, my 2H rumbles nicely at about 600 rpm. When you cut through like others have already done in my pics, it's bottomles under tires but grips nicely to axles.:D

Ordered my second set of four 33x10.50 BFG ATs yesterday at Discount Tire and they are backordered for a month or two. Sales guy speculated that BFG was going to delete that size before long - BFG has already deleted the 33x9.50 MT as I recall. I've always thought the 33x10.50 was the perfect size for the 60/62 set for your typical daily driving and mild off roading. Lighter than a 12.50 or 285/75/16 so it doesn't soak up any more HP than neccesary and fits the wheel well without having to take a BFH to the wheel well. For offroading of any sort, though, I find the Swamper LTB 34x10.50 to work very well - and it is self clearancing!! On road, it sucks!

Self clearancing? What's that?
Egad, I just realized I've passed the 1,000 post mark...I think I'm gonna have a Cruiser mid-life crisis soon.

The fender wells on the 60 series are small and tires like a 33x12.50 on an 8" or wider rim will rub in places. In some cases the wells will tear tread off the tire, but not in the case of Swampers, which will "self clearance" the wells to a new and larger size without any tread loss. :D

i'm waiting till next winter then firing in a springover and the ltb 34 11.5 r15

Is there such a size in the LTB? I don't think so. Also, with a SOA wouldn't anything less than a 35 look too small?

 Really? I've always thought 60 series had quite large fender wells, with plenty of "stuff" room, especially for the moderate wheeling that most of us do. There are rigs running 33's stock, as long as the springs aren't to saggy. Like wise, I am running 33x12.5's on 8.5" wide rims, with no rubbing issues.

Perhaps moderate is the catch word. If you haven't experienced any rubbing then no need to argue the point. I've seen 33x10.50s on stock 6" rims that have rubbed the inner walls of the well after twisting it up pretty good. That was with stock springs that, no matter what after nearly 20 years of use, are bound to be a little saggy. I've also seen 33x12.50 tires on an OME suspended truck that rubbed the rear inner wells simply backing out of the driveway . That was with 10" rims. My 34x10.50 LTBs on 8" rims with 3.5" backspacing rub every time out wheeling. In the front, on the leading edge of the outer front fender well and in the rear, the inner fender well shows signs of meeting the LTB's lugs. Nothing major, but that is why I think the 33x10.50 is about max size without problems for a 2.5" lift SUA 60 without some wheel well rearranging.

a little rub never hurt anyone. just push the inner fender in up front with a 3lb mallet and call it good (i call mine the equalizer) also my fender lips are rolled so if it rubs i dont have to worry bout a sliced tire.
Im not the one to stop cause a tire rubs (unless someone is taking pictures) ill just keep on rollin so i take the precautions early as not to have a flat.

Sure, at a full stuff, I get the standard minor rub on my inner wheel well out back. Just enough to buff the under coating off and make the steel a nice shiny silver. I hardly call that a rubbing "issue". In fact it was so minor, I didn't even know it rubbed until I got home and was cleaning it up a few days later, and saw the evidence. Couldn't feel it from inside the rig. But, as we know, it all depends on how the rig is set up, and how you use it.
