For every hater there is someone who is just annoying who shouts "KO2s are the best tire ever made, PERIOD." Enthusiast love trying to prove each other wrong about a tire they have already bought.
I think it's great more vendors are making this size. 295/70/18 a great "true" 34" option for OEM 18" wheels and huge bonus that it fits in spare tire well. Best big tire with fewer compromises of running a full-fat 35.
My next tire size will be the Nitto Recon 295/70/18. I am curious to know if I’ll need to do a BMC for them to fit even though I have Spidertrax spacers and heritage wheels. Of course other concern will be the kdss

I will likely move up to this size in the spring...part of me had considered going to Toyo...but there really isn't that much out there that looks 'classic' on the cruisers like the BFG.

Clearance under flex is one thing but also be conscious of clearance under hard braking with some steering dialed in. The tire does move fore and aft to a degree under significant loading. Most won't notice this under normal driving but don't want to find out in an emergency maneuver where it has the potential to contact, bind, and lockup a tire. I test for clearance by trail braking into a turn or more spirited driving on secondary mountain roads.
I like the Duratracs, they have never failed me and I don't feel like they are overly loud at all. THinking about changing the size to the 275/70/18 before LCDC (if I get a winning ticket)
