Have worked in boots for over 40 years....
Work boots have only lasted typicaslly for two years until I bought Viberg's.
My Viberg's are now 8 years old, resoled and re-heeled was $80 CDN thats about $60USD.
By far best boots that I have ever owned. I grease mine with Hubberd's grease.

Hubberd's grease goes on EVERYTHING leather that I own. That is good stuff right there!

Times have changed.
I looked up your Viberg shoes, and prices have gone up a bit in a couple years
Boots are running $700US +
I can go through a lot of Wolverines for that kind of money.
Phew.

Hi Bob
Look up workboot.com as your link brings me to Viberg fashion boots.
Remember that the Canuck buck is worth only .76 USD so the $534 CDN is $411 USD
Boots are now 10 years old and still no issue.

PHEW
Thanks for that!
Even $400 is a good chunk of change for a pair of boots, but it sounds like they do last

I spend $600 or so on my boots, custom made by a local cobbler. soles last me 2 years and lowers last 4 years
I'm usually able to get the lowers rebuilt once and several soles before I'm due for a new pair

when I'm in them for 2300-2500 hours a year it is worth it for me.

In your cases they are worth it.
I'm barefoot or sneakers most time.
Boots come out in the winter when there is wood to be cut!

Never broke it down per hours.
48 weeks of work at 40 hours (if only) 10 years = 19200 hours.
Resoled Vibergs twice at $80 CDN per plus mailed to Victoria, BC round trip $40
Total cost after 10 years is $640 CDN or $50 USD per year.
My boots should be good for another two years before resoling.
Mom always said " lift your feet".
