Looking for a long lasting, quiet blades for the Florida raining season. Lots of recommendation for Bosch ICON, but has anyone used Trico Maxx or Titan before? About the same price point but this premium line by Trico claims they last 3 times the typical wipes due to proprietary Z7 rubber...

I can’t speak from experience on the hundy, but the Bosch icons were fantastic on my lx450. I plan to get them for my hundy when the time comes.

It’s not so much about the wiper blade (yes they do matter some especially with the weird curvature of the rear glass, but not nearly as much as you think), but it’s more about the state of your windshield. A lot of times you’ll have road oils and grime that has built up and hardened on the exterior of the glass that sometimes even feels rough to the touch - like a 320 grit sandpaper. This causes premature wiper wear, noise/chatty wipers, etc... I’m a huge advocate of using a clay bar, scraping with a razor blade, polishing with a rotary buffer (optional), and lastly coating it with a quality hydrophobic protectant. I’ve had really impressive results recently with glass ceramic coatings. By far the most hydrophobic coating I’ve ever put on my windshield and half the time I don’t even need my wipers because it beads right off. My advice is to get the exterior glass as smooth as you can and then see if you really need these crazy expensive wiper blades. You’ll be surprised.

These are outstanding, better than Bosch in my experience. And, if I remember correctly, are actually OEM wipers. You can also replace the blade with refill if you like. I got them here Security Check

I'll backup your initial thought for the Bosch Icon. Solid all-around blade with excellent longevity. A good windshield cleaning and some Rain-X go a long way as mentioned also.

Another vote for Toyota arms with the replaceable inserts. I've tried probably 10-15 different types of aftermarket blades from all the big names, from cheap to expensive. They all fared about the same—poorly. The Toyota blades last easily as long as blades that are way more expensive and do a great job clearing the rain. Just make sure you get the Toyota blades with the replaceable inserts. They are a little more expensive than the cheaper blades they have hanging at the parts counter, but worth it.

See I used to love the Bosch ICONS and Trico's on the FJ60 with the '95 4Runner arm upgrade.
So when I got Alita I put the Bosch ICONS on her, and they do nothing but skip. I have gone through and attempted to do a quick glass polish but it didn't help much.
At the beginning of the year in the last snow storm, I actually had to pull over on the way home to clean the windshield because the wipers were not cleaning the area directly in my line of sight.

Does anyone know why there are two part numbers for the Toyota OEM wipers for 2005 LC 100? The part numbers below are both for front right, what's the difference?

For years and years I ran whatever mid priced wiper blades were on the parts store shelf. They would always degrade and need replaced within a year. Then I decided to try the pricey PIAA Silicone wiper blade. I've had them installed for just over a year now and the blade still works like new. I am sold on the PIAA blades now.

My guess is one of them is the generic shop counter size that fits all the Toyotas. The refillable ones have a great natural bend in them that seems to really stay flat on the curved glass of the 80 and 100. I haven't found anything that works well on the back window, but I can live without that being crystal clear.
