Pure offroad performance Bias Ply takes the cake

Not so good on the road though

Any off the AT type tires mentioned will only perform average in mud at best, thats not what they are made for

I would get a decent MT tire that has sipping for decent wet and snow performance

Interco Super Swamper IROK. I don't know why anyone hasn't suggested these. If you want the best tire for off road mud, rock, and snow get these and get BIAS. Radials are fine, but bias are superior for off roading. The bias are a much nicer ride in the rough stuff too. Mine are fine on the road, and ride much better than I expected. I went with the 36x13.5x17 which measure the same as the 37s. They are about $100 cheaper per tire and about 18 lbs lighter per tire. I've ran them a little over a year now in just about every condition imaginable. They haven't disappointed yet.

I run the Bias Iroks in the 37x14x15 flavor, I like them

Snow rocks and mud the mud grapplers perform flawlessly. Freeway? LOUD!

I'd prefer a radial, but I'm open to suggestions. And I'm also looking to run 315-75-16 or 35x12.50-16. I'm running a 3'" OME heavy lift. Not much of a daily driver, but would like a fairly decent ride to and from the 4 wheeling spots.

Only if they come off backorder or you pay through the nose for shipping.

I got tired of waiting and bought a set of Mickey Thompson Baja MTZs.

My truck is running the same lift. I recently went from a BFG AT to the 35 in MTZ and I absolutely love them. perform great offroad and they really have pretty solid road manners. Road noise was no different than my BFG's and they handle really well. I would definitely buy another set when these wear out. My truck is not a DD but I tote the whole family to the trails for wheeling and camping with no worries.

I was on the fence about them until I spun them up on the balancer. They had very minimal runout and balanced easily. They go to Moab in a couple weeks. They will have ~720 miles of hiway duty pulling a Kimberly plus trail time. It should be a good test.

I'll put in another vote for the Goodyear Duratracs. They're amazing on road in all conditions...snow, ice, rain, etc....

I've never done any rocks with them, so I can't speak for that...but they're awesome on dirt, mud, and sand. I had a set on my previous vehicle, an '07 Tahoe, and they looked almost brand new after 25k miles. I immediately bought a set for my LX when I got it....

I get tires for all my vehicles from Discount Tire Direct's website. Good prices and free shipping. DTD currently has nine (9) of the 315/75-16s in stock for $253 shipped per tire.

Ratings, reviews and specifications for Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires

there is no disputing the all around performance of the duratrac, however, we are talking about off-road. Mickey wear really quick, toyos are expensive, destination mts are heavy, new MTRs are just wierd. I have run a lot of tires and I must it again INTERCO. 35x10.5r16 is a great size too, in the SSR

For mud and rocks, you will want a MT or mud terrain tire. There are lots to chose from and they typically cost more than ATs. MTs are typically noisy on the road. Read their reviews. If you can't deal with the noise, then you might consider a MT / AT hybrid, like the new Goodyear MTR.

Trxus MT

This is the tire other than the Duratrac I am considering when it's time for rubber.

Thanks for all the opinions and info guys. This broadens my tire knowledge a ton.

I really like my new Falken Wild Peaks I have tried them in every type of terrian and they seem to perform very well. Good tire for the money IMO

nope. wasnt hopping

that's some serious carnage you make there ..

toyos are expensive, new MTRs are just wierd

Got Toyos in my 80 and I'm so happy with 'em .. they are rock solid ( no kidding when I said rock ) but great overall performance. Wife 80 got Destinations and are just regular MT not impressed with 'em.

BTW I'm digging the new MTR model ..
