Steel Reserve comes in cans:lol:

Lots of microbrewers in rochester have started to use cans. Have a bigger beer store you can look for them?

I don't drink much myself, to be honest. But apparently Bud Light is favored 10 to 1 by central NH inhabitants. I have plans to quit my job and just pick up cans, every few months I'll cross over to mass and make my returns. Yep, gonna live high on the hog.

Fat Tire in the can. Best BEER on the planet.

Only sad part is...you can't get it here in the east...

Dale's Ale is good. This year my local regular - Saranac Pale Ale - started putting it in cans. Guess I should try it. I do like bottles, but cans are handy.

I found a store which carries a good selection of canned beer that is outside the norm. I plan on buying several brands for FG so if anyone wants to stop buy and try some you are more than welcome.

The small Market Basket in Concord, NH has Narragansett at $5.99 per 12 pack. Imports included Guinness, Molson (Light & Canadian), Hieneken, Amstel and a couple others I can't recall. Burp! On the other hand, it is rare that a properly packaged bottle beer would break inside the original carton with the dividers or loose in a cooler left at the campsite.

my beer is not always at the campsite.

Too much agitation inside the bottle/can isn't good for any beer. You should park the beer before going onto the trail whenever possible.

I'll play.
Beer cans have improved greatly since my Dad's generation. Cans are actually better for the beers flavor because they let zero light in. this protects the beer from turning skunky. read here:
Light Struck Beer - Zymipedia - Everything Beer, Wine, Spirits and Fermentation

Also, cans are better for the planet. Easier to recycle, lighter to ship and less energy goes into producing them. I know, we are not exactly environmentalists, driving 15 mpg rigs but every bit helps.
a few more reasons,
Is easier to hike with cans, especially if you are a respectful hiker (pack it in, pack it out)
A lot of places have made it illegal to raft/canoe with bottles.
cans get colder faster, stay colder longer with a coozy.

Here is my recent favorite that only does cans and kegs, no bottles.
21st Amendment Brewery

also like Oskar Blues and Maui Brewing company and sometimes there is nothing better than an ice cold miller lite.

Unfortunately you pretty much need to be in Colorado to get it right now...

Load your 80 with the stuff and drive east, we will meet you at the Vermont border.

Rick, didn't I see a bunch of miller high life can's in your garage? For the PBR, schlitz, Genny cream ale, old mil, Bud, and Natty ice fans, feel free to stop by our site at FG, maybe we'll shotgun one.

the best experience of this hole thing was at the spring meeting. I had brought some Labatts Blue and shared a cooler with Jim Barton who drinks Bud light exclusively.

Well, after dark and with a few in his gut he occasionally grabbed the wrong can.. The face was priceless.
