Have you tried Schlitz since they brought back the old recipe? When PBR bought them out in the 70s, they turned Schlitz into a light beer to compete, then last year they stumbled upon the old recipe and brought it back. It's a completely different beer now, in my opinion it's on par with Bud or Coors, but it's cheaper. I like it a lot.
On the other hand, I have a friend who can drink a 12 pack (BTW - it's cheaper in the 16oz cans) and doesn't have a hang over. There's much to be said for that, or maybe him.
