Timing belt and water pump kit coming tomorrow. Now that I am sure how to set the timing will start pulling the water pump and other pulleys to finish the job. Thanks so much for the help will post the outcome later. Thanks again.

For what it's worth, I did experience a timing belt jump teeth after a drive belt break, in a LS400. Some debris got in there somehow.

What is an FSM?

Find the FSM appropriate for your year model. Also, consider getting the EWD (Electrical Wiring Diagrams) for it.

They will look something like the one's below for my year model.

'Must Have' items IF you do most of your own wrenching.

Just a note:

The 2000 LX470 has the 4.7L 2UZ-fe non VVT. Although some have reported interference in these and Toyota calls it an interference engine. We don't have confirm-able evidence of interference in mud that I've seen. We do have many cases where they just replaced timing belt after break while passing on HWY (Flooring it) and engine ran fine. OP's compression was taken cold, which was "telling", with all cylinder near the same at 88 to 90PSI. Had some or all valves interfered we see some or all cylinder with perhaps 40PSI or less IMHO. I'd not expect compression to be so even across all cylinder if any damaged.

Personally I would do further testing just to be sure, before doing the T-belt job. Like a leak down test or take a look with scope. Stuff happens!

Houston, the Eagle has started!

Finished up putting everything back together turned the key and it fired up. it was running rough so I checked the ignition coils and had to replace six of them, go figure. The car is now running fine. Thanks to all that helped with this problem especially 200LC and Otramm.com without your help I would have never had the confidence to take on this endeavor. If you don't know who Otramm is you should visit the site. They have a ton of youtube videos on the 100 series and they were extremely helpful.

Thanks again to all!

Mike

Awesome news!
@2001LC and @OTRAMM were the two best resources when I tackled my TB job!
