My 40 is setup with Luke’s hi-steer arms but the angle is set for higher lift than I have now(SOA, shackle at the front, flat stock springs, 37s). I’m trying to lower the front as much as possible. The tie rod now contacts the frame if I hit a big bump while driving.

Can I heat and bend the steering arms to decrease the angle of the arms? Ideally, the bottom of the tie rod would be about 3/4”-1” above the springs. It’s about 3” now.

I’m pretty sure Luke will re-bend them for you. Have you tried reaching out to him?

I didn’t know he would rebend them! I was planning to ask him about whether or not it’s possible on Monday so hopefully he still offers that service.

Do you’ve TRE’s or heims? If you have heims could you just bolt them to the underside of the arm?

TRE’s unfortunately. I look at tapering to a 1ton GM and drilling from underneath (currently setup for 80 series on top). For some reason I remember the clearance not being enough but I’ll double check today.
