Bought my 2017 LC last July and have been meaning to post it up here but, you know, Life. Now that I have time on my hands here she is! Bought her used with 40k on the odometer from a Toyota dealership in San Antonio. They say the previous owner traded her in for a newer model so if you're on here definitely say hi!

Mods done previous to my ownership:

Icon Stage 1 lift kit
BF Goodrich KO2

Last Mod by me:

SPC upper control arms (the tires were unevenly wearing on the front)
New oil filter cap since the factory tool broke a tab off the old one causing it to fail during the last oil change I did.

Currently working on a way to mount my phone. I have 3D printed a phone holder for a bicycle handle bar and found a piece of rubber to fit around the E-brake. I plan to mount it there and use a magnetic, steel ball and cradle to hold the phone in place. It's still prototyping and I may need to reprint with PETG (it's currently PLA) to withstand the Texas heat.

Attached some pictures of the lady from when I got her home, in her natural habitat (gas station), and with her inhabitants (the Ridgies).

Cheers,
Chris

Not only do we have similar LCs (my ‘19 is silver, black interior), we like the same breed of dog. We only have one Ridgie, but he is the second one we have had. Great dogs, although ours is clearly spoiled since we bought a seat cover so he could ride in the second row, along with our Australian Shepherd.

Definitely have good taste! I end up putting beds and blankets in the back and they just snooze on the drive. The one on the left is a pup still but she's gotten the hang of things thanks to my other one.

really ??? you going to put a phone holder on your hand brake ??
That’s the plan, there’s enough room to operate it still and the phone won’t be attached when it’s engaged. I searched the forums for other ideas but nothing stuck out to me without permanently modifying something or putting it in front of an a/c vent (which isn’t an option in Texas summer). Got any other ideas?

Ditto on the lurking. I’ve been researching and wanting to buy a 200 for a while now and finally pulled the trigger a few weeks ago and got a 2013 LX570 silver with a black interior too. It has 98k and a perfect service history with all services done at the dealership. Picked it up at Westside Lexus in Houston. It was definitely a mall cruiser and I’m excited to start building!

Over the past few weeks I’ve made a few minor mods like swapping all the interior and exterior Lights to LED, added some LED lights under the running boards just for extra light and added a Lsailt android box to the infotainment system to give me wireless carplay! It works great and I’ll be posting more details on that in another thread about those style sytems.

Looking forward to being a part of the community!

Best,
Clay

Cool. Too bad it isn’t gen 1 compatible.

Looks Awesome! I really like the carplay...it's the only thing I wish my LC had

I agree with you about keeping your eyes on the road. The only reason I want the phone in some form of holder is to bring up maps since I think the included LC nav is garbage with having to update it as the roads change...apple and google maps are constantly updated.

BTW, i have a phone holder on the vent...i mount it to the very top of the vent...so that air still comes out at the bottom (Phone blocks 3/4 of the vent)...enough to provide plenty of cool air to me (along with other vents). And by mounting it to the very top of vent, my phone is in line of sight with view of road.

To be honest, after seeing all sorts of phone mounts on this forum, nothing beats what i have. Some may disagree.

Which one do you have? I'm open to giving it a whirl. I just haven't seen a solution I liked yet.

Well, my iPhone case has a popsocket integrated. So, i have a phone holder that holds a popsocket. SEE LINK in my previous post.

But any decent vent holder will work. Just mount it to the very top of the vent.

Here was my old setup...works perfect too: My Mods/trips thread

It was a pretty simple addition and I know they make a version for the ‘16+ 200s too. I got the module off of alibaba for about $400 delivered. So far I’m really happy with it. It does take a little getting used to how to navigate the system and switch back and forth between factory and the android module but pretty easy overall and all factory functionality remains intact which is what I was most worried about. Install only took about an hour. Might be a better and safer solution than mounting your phone.
