No real good source for power in the GX 460. UHF according to my radio installation instructions (Yeasu) stated that I should wire directly to the battery (fused of course).

With that being said you can run a large gauge wire to a Bluesea's fuse box and wire serval accessories off of that. Just ensure you fuse all positive wires and install wiring sufficient for your amperage draw.

For my Yaesu FTM-400XDR, I went through the steering column seal straight to the battery (with fuse).
I like having "constant on" so if I'm monitoring it, I don't have to have the ignition on, which will time-out after about 15-20 minutes and shut off.
A good ignition connection would be to tap into the cigarette lighter in the center console. It's designed for higher amps. I have a seconded wireless phone cradle for my wife's seat tapped into the cigarette lighter.
It's easy to access, just pull off the center console lower side panels (that run along next to the front seats), unscrew the shift knob and giggle while lifting up the console.

I used the cigarette lighter plug in the centre console and mounted the uhf just in front of the gear shift lever.

If I install anything else electrical in the cab (more USB sockets), I'll run a dedicated wire and distribute via a Blue Sea Systems fuse box.

The USB ports I added to the back of the center console for the middle seats, I have those wired to the battery so they're hot all the time.
It helps when camping and need to charge things overnight or when one is gone from your vehicle for a while without having the engine or ignition on.
