Hello all, ive been having electrical issues with my 100 series (lx 470 1999).

Get ready for the story.

I was taking her out with buddies on a very long overland trip, when my rearview mirror screws broke, initally, I slapped some adhesive I had laying in theback of my truck to keep it from swining on the wire, and cracking my new windshield. The adhesive would not stick so I had to result to cutting the wire, (A very very dumb decision, but I was out in the bush). It blew a few fuses, like the dashboard and interiror lighs, but otherwise it was okay for a day after that trip, but when I was driving it down the highway, the alternator gave. I replaced the alternator, and the battery was reading 14.2v, yet it would still not hold a charge. I replaced the 140a ALT fuse, and still the same isssue, where the battery wont start. itll die after about a hour or so of use. I still have yet to splice the wires for the rear view mirror back together, but I dont think that is the issue at hand. i also replaced the battery with a newer one I had for my Tacoma, (27F), which is the recommended one for the vehicle. I know the decision to cut it was dumb, just looking for some help

If anyone has suggestions or solutions, they would be very appreciated

Have a blessed day, thank you.

Be sure that the wires you cut are not shorted to each other as a result of the cutting. Reach in there with a toothpick and separate the wires so that they clearly cannot touch each other.
