aftermarket carb
wheel cylinders need attention one is leaking brakes are a bit scary!
one small section on rear sill needs attention.
rain gutter is in good shape but seals is rough shape and PO painted them
pass front fender and apron appear to have been repainted or possibly replaced at some point.

PO added to the factory roll bar: currently removed stubs need to be cleaned up and four holes are left in each floor pan up front.
all of the door bottoms are solid other than some nasty looking glue on one of them.

AGAIN SORRY FOR ALL THE PICS
what do you guys think its worth?

Old skool shocks??

those "Old Skool Shocks" are Gabriel Coil Overload Shocks still sold today.
I have a brand new set in the basement - never on a FJ40.
I had those on my first FJ back in 1986 - loved the hell out of them and gave the truck the perfect stock stance look and a stiffer than most ride.

I would put them on my 74 FJ40 but I put a CCOT 4 inch lift on it.

If you want another set - brand new - I will sell them!

BTW - That is a great looking 40 - thank you for all of the pictures. I carefully studied them and drooled on my keyboard at the condition of your truck.

Teeth to the wind,
Sno Dawg

so it had a roll cage to the front at some point and then they cut it off ? :bang:

yep PO cut it off a few days before i picked it up. he gave me the pieces so it could theoretically be reinstalled by welding at the two points above the front seats. Im not a fan of those roll cages myself either so i would have done the same thing. Well a dedicated rock crawler would be the only exception. makes getting in and out of it alot easier.

I called Gabriel and they don't sell the overloads anymore for the Toyota Land Cruiser. I ended up buying ones for a 72 Chevy pick up and installed them on my Toyota. Without and mods... Just goes to show ya as to whom you might be conversing with
