Andy has set the date of April 23 2011 for the Annual Bakersfield Land Cruiser Spring Ralley.

8th Annual Bakersfield Land Cruiser Rally
April 23rd 2011,
North Bakersfield Toyota Scion
19651 Industry Parkway Drive
Bakersfield, California 93308

Last year there were approx 60 rigs in attendance and he hopes to beat that number in 2011.

It is held at the Toyota Dealership.

I will post up more details when I get them. No real time has been set.

The event starts when you get there and ends when you leave. It is just a great social gathering of like minded people who share a common vehicle/hobby. Andy said they are serving lunch or lunch will be available.

I'm scheduling to be there from 8:30am - 9:00am and will probably stay until 1 or maybe 2:00PM. Depends on the crowd.

From Las Vegas you will come in on Hwy 58 and turn north onto Hwy 99. Drive north on Hwy 99 through Bakersfield and take the Hwy 65 (Porterville) exit. The dealership will be on your left hand side on hwy 65.

Can I come?

I spoke with Andy last night.

The Manager of the Toyota Dealership is very excited about this event. He is putting it on thier website and promoting it for the public to come and see the rigs. Last year he was reluctant to promot it since the Scion Ralley had 6 or 7 vehicles show up. He was pleased to see 60 + LandCruisers at the ralley.

This year there will be a swap meet if you want to bring things to sell. I understand there was one last year but nobody really knew about it until they got there.

Food will be there this year. I do not know the type or prices, etc. It may be Hot Dogs, it may be Tri-Tip. I don't know.

Maybe I'll bring my rusty beater 60, and park in the back so as not to scare the customers:hillbilly:. Or paint the mileage on the window so people might understand why it looks beat:D. If I can keep it running, I'll have 300k by then.

Well there might be an Iron Butt award for the longest distance traveled to make it to the Ralley.

There might also be a prize for the highest mileage LandCruiser.

I already have ideas, but I will ask Andy since it is his event.

Swap meet is a excellent idea...one of the main attractions.

Hmmm... I am throwing this on the schedule

Looking for 2-5 BFG 31x10.50x15 in excellent shape.
