Some are cool and some are sticklers.
I think the one by @Boston Mangler is pretty chill.
As far as independent shops I have had great luck with Bear’s Tires in Miramar, they mounted and balanced my 5 coopers for $100 last year.

Yeah… the one on Genesse will mount anything on anything. I’ve been a very happy customer close to 20 years.

They have now given me a total of 4 new tires over the years to replace ones I’ve obviously destroyed off-road, no questions asked

Sounds like I need to head down there. The one in Escondido sucks and were huge pains in the ass when I took my FJ40 there

Yeah, the one in Miramar sucks too.

Brought 2 different work trucks there for tires and it’s always an ordeal/argument

Heater T's complete and tires will be here Monday. Found a better local shop to do the work. Going with LT275 65 18 Falken Wild peak AT3's. I also ordered a Tundra spare steel wheel to go as my new spare.

Nice!

FYI, Tundra steelie wheels, although same bolt pattern, take a different lug nut. I learned this the hard way. Just a heads up

I went from the RW wheels to steelies and needed new lugs.

This is my old Tundra:

@badsamaritan i have my set of stock 18” 200 alloys here at the house, if you need to borrow one for a spare for a bit

I'm supposed to mount tundra wheels on today, so I'm guessing I have to go buy new lug nuts

To clarify, I am just talking about the STEELIE spare takes different lugs. Tundra alloys use the same

Nice! Those will good on the white LX. If you have the OEM center caps for those Tundra rims, the Toyota logo will pop right out and these Lexus logo's will fit in their place. You will have to use some 5 minute epoxy to secure them in place but that's easy enough to do. I found some of those rims (2021 Tundra Trail SE dark gray color) for my LX and swapped logo's so they look a bit more OEM.

Well the wheel and tire saga continues. Tire shop called and the distributor tried to pull a fast one and brought over the wrong model AT3A vs. AT3 and the 5 tires had a date code from 2022. Of course they wanted full price for them as well.

Tireshop called me and were pretty frustrated as well. They have some milestar Patagonia's on hand they want me to take a look at. I'm not familiar with the brand but others on mud have used the MT's and had good reports

They’re loud and wear FAST

Unless they offering them for half price, hard pass

I’d jump on a set of the Nitto G3s that came out TWO WEEKS after I got my Coopers

Nittos G2 have always been my fav

Excellent! Which ones ya end up going with? Can’t tell

Terra Grappler G3 275 65 18. I've never purchased E load rated tires before. These ride really nice

Nice! My G2s had 40k on them, with a trip all the way to the arctic and still had over 50% left and were silent when i sold truck

The G3s will most definitely be my next tire
