The courtesy lights on both back doors are not working. I suppose it is possible both bulbs failed, but I wonder if it could be something else that affects both. First off, I'm not sure how to remove the cover to get to the bulb. There aren't any obvious indents that a screwdriver might fit in to pop it out. Suggestions?

Could be bad bulbs, switches, or a corroded splice. check out this thread. Also, you can use a small screwdriver or plastic trim tool to remove the bulb housing from the door panel. It will rock sideways out of the panel. Pry between clear plastic lens and brown surround.

Rear Dome Light Comes On on LR Door, Not RR Door....

No previous issues with the truck, and allofasudden, the RR door opening doesn't make the dome light come on. Did a search and nothing seems to fit. Both front doors work fine (on the front dome light). Cargo works as well. Sooo... Electricity has been conspiring with hand tools to kill me...

Thanks. Door switches look clean and rubber is supple. I got the whole bulb assembly out, but can't figure out how to remove the bulb. Doesn't seem to be as simple as pulling on it. Suggestions?

Pull it straight out.

Replacements are sold as the whole housing.

Unplug the connector and swap into a known-good location to see if it's the bulb or an issue with the power.

Great suggestion. The back light works in the front door, so it looks like the both back lights are not getting power.
Anything obvious I can do to remedy this?

My rear PS door light wasn't working as well as the rear cargo light when opening this door. I removed the door pressure switch in the jamb and grounded it with a jumper wire. Everything lit up. So I just took apart the pressure switch, cleaned it all with 400 grit sandpaper and put it all back together. Works great now. There's a thread here somewhere on how to take it apart that I followed.

Found it.
