You can knock up a hippie shack pretty quickly and cheap with a few 2x4 and some clear plastic sheet.

Used to do it for boat paint jobs.

Don't go too crazy with the screws and the 2x are still good for the house project later.

Helps justify it to swmbo. " I'm just using them for a couple days before I build you the Imelda shoe closet dear" 🤣
The only ladies in this house are my daughter and my dog Joey so I don't have to justify crap. I guess you could count the 125 female marijuana plants sitting on my window sill getting ready for the green house. My neighbors LOVE me!

Wait...you're single?

I'm shocked. Shocked I tell you. :flipoff2:
Cause now 10 2x4’s and a roll of plastic is $500
Yeah, this is why the repurposing happens...

Tires are in, mounting and balancing today. Pictures to come this afternoon.

Well this is getting me excited in all kinds of ways.

Sometimes you just have to make it up.

If you need shiny metal for light reflectors, Dollar Tree has aluminum spray bottles that I’ve used to make reflectors for my Ambo lights. Their original design was black rubber with no reflective material.
I will take her for a test drive before any conclusions.

At least there’s metal there to paint if it’s not reflective enough… painting the black rubber housing seemed like a battle that would be hard to win. Reflective backs and LED bulbs made for lights that were actually visible after sunrise and before sunset.

I bought a bulb up grade kit from Dan @ 4wheel auto in alberta. New lenses too so I figure they should be bright enough. Fingers crossed.

Come to think about it, that was just raw steel I put in there. Maybe some paint wouldn't hurt.

Well too late to take pictures of the cruiser sanded down to 320. Its far from prefect but Im running out of steam. Maybe its focus??. Im getting pretty close to building a redneck paint both. This weather is not co-operating and I have goals.

Will you guys hate me if I paint this truck without removing the windows? The last picture of the passenger side fender needs more work as there are a dozen high spots. This fender was folded in half when I purchased the truck, it looks way better but it still looks like crap. I have everything I need to build a paint shack now. Even an old grow fan with a carbon filter. Unfortunately I suck at painting, on the bright side, I have more weed that one could smoke in a lifetime and my neighbor sprays vehicles all day and he's a level 10 stoner.

I certainly won't. I hate painting too and pretty much never remove windows.

I've seen a trick where you take a piece of cord and jam it in under the edge of the window seals, it lifts them up a bit so the paint can make it underneath. When you pull it out, it looks like you removed the windows. Makes it easier to mask off the seal too

Doesn't work on all seals, and I can't remember if I've tried it on cruiser seals or not, so this may be no help to you.

I think I get what your putting out. Like weed whacker cord, like you were choking out your next window victim. Straight around the neck kinda dealio. Well this is bringing back old memories.

Yeah exactly.

Maybe a bit thicker than weedwacker , depending what you can find and what'll fit in there.
It's nice if you can get the edge of the seal up a quarter inch or so.

I’ve left them in more that once. Tatters suggestion would help prevent paint on the seals. If I ever do a good pair job I’d at least pull the hardtop windows. Windshield is another story.

F-ing tarp blew off in the wind and it raining on my cruiser. FML. I guess all I can do is try to dry it out.

I really hope there's no storms in the near future.
