11 grand into this truck and I haven't even driven it yet.:bang:
I didn't keep track when I put my 40 thing together. Adding up receipts sucks the life out of it for me.

I don't enjoy spending big lumps of money all at once, so I'd never have paid outright for any 40 series what I have into mine, even though it isn't much by cruiser standards these days.

Doing it 100 bucks at a time you end up in the same place but the trip is more fun.

Someone else can figure out what it's worth when I'm dead.

Hopefully you can start having fun with it soon instead of working on it all the time. Looks like you're close.👍

I’m into mine for about $16,000 now. It has been about 30 years and 100k miles. Getting close to where I’d like it to be for now.

$1250 purchase and about $1000 a year for the first 10 years. After that not much per year. Most recently about $800 for the power steering conversion and about $600 for parts for TPI conversion.

Yes it has plugs… at these prices a diesel conversion starts to look like it would pay off. However, still 10-15 years till the break even point. Electric with a couple Tesla batteries may be my next motor.

If I go that route I may trailer mount the 3600 watt LP generator and add a 100-200 lb propane tank. That way I can charge up if needed. 30 amp 120v should be able to charge up a battery reasonably quickly… and at 60 db and propane, not be too noisy.

Used the 8274 to to suspend a 16x20 tarp. Unfortunately it wasn’t for a paint booth… or to work on a truck. Our neighbourhood garage sale was somewhat of a bust… given we were the only sale in the neighbourhood.

I have officially driven the cruiser around the neighbor hood twice. Its definitely a head tuner. She's peppy and stinky due to the exhaust manifold leak and not all my door seals or installed. Pepé Le Pew Smurf mobile.

Purdy… makes me think of @lostmarbles rig (may it rest in pieces).

It sure makes me want to finish my rig… or at very least have it completely drivable again. By this summer… sometime.

I dig the drill jack.

I have a gnarly old metal cased 1/2" monster that's pretty much square.

I've used it to drill up through cruiser frames tons of time. Jack up till the truck lifts, pull trigger and hang on for dear life...

It's getting kinda lively in its old age. Need rubber gloves if you want your fillings to stay in :hillbilly:

Truck turned out great man. Enjoy. 👍

Thanks!

I was having a fuel delivery issue. Sputtering and dying after a few minutes of driving. I changed my Lift pump and primer, tightened all the hose clamps on the fuel lines and it seemed to cure the problem. Fingers crossed.

Dam that exhaust ticking was making my new paint job sound like s***. Problem solved with some magical tricks.

Well I finally installed my new speedo cable. Fixed the last of my leaky exhaust. New e-brake cable too, which works awesome!

Any body have one of these "landcruiser" emblems stashed away?

Can't wait to see this in person. Nice work on the finishing touches! Might want security feature to keep from being stolen...

Unfortunately stupid people don't read... they'll still ask if it's a Jeep. Stupid people are stupid after all.

It's not worth your time or energy to try to educate them.... we are far too outnumbered.

Argh that Jeep thing is something landcruiser owners will always have to deal with! Lol Ive even had ppl call my bj 60 a jeep.

I did get the extra insurance for theft and fire etc. an antitheft device would be smart. although its not Victoria here.
