For the oil pressure, the senders seem to get kinda weak. It's that weird BST thread so you need an adapter for most gauges.

They do idle alarmingly low, but if the edic doesn't shut it back off right after startup, it's probably good enough.

EDIT...missed you saying the edic didn't work. Meh. They suck anyways. String pulls rule.


In my old 24v BJ70 I stuck a 12v sender in and it perked the placebo needle up nicely.

I was trying to trouble shoot and left the wiper on, then notice that the motor housing was nearly too hot to touch because of a seized wiper turny thingy. That goes through the window frame, I kinda unseized it. Good enough to get her turning again. The wipers worked for 1 minute, next time I tried, nothing. I took the wiper motor apart. One brush was de-soldered, fixed it. But the copper wraps in the motor look discolored from heating up too much. My question is: why didn't a fuse blow???

On the last 42 I had, the wiper motor was pretty beat, and I had a 12v one that had clearly been in a dry country or a barn for 30 years. I put the 24v armature in the 12v housing ( with all the gears and s***) and it was good as new.

I'll have a dig around tomorrow and see what I have in the shed. I really don't think I have a wiper motor tho.

When I was deciding whether to make my green truck 12 or 24v, the wiper motor was one of the things I was missing that made me go 12.

Wheeling in Duncan could be sweet! My next week available is 18th to the 25th. Although my cruiser likes the double black diamond wheeling. We can keep it to the bunny hills.

Right on! I'm going to be in the interior on a trip 20th-26th. But maybe we can make the 18th or 19th work.

I definitely like the challenging technical wheeling and would like to get out with someone else who's into that. There are some gnarly trails Cowichan area, which I didn't hit last couple times as was out with others who weren't up for it (they were on 31-33" tires). I draw the line at significant body damage myself... But truck is full of scratches and small dents already. My truck is pretty flexy and on ~4" lift and 35" tires with a rear e-lock. It does pretty well actually. Not heavy armor though.

Your 60 is sprung over on 35s right? Is it locked also?

I just don't like breaking windows. Its actually the only thing that breaks on my 60. Lincoln locker up front. It would be nice to have a cable locker for the rear.

I had one package I shipped with guaranteed delivery in 4-5 business days… it took 2.5 months to get it back after the postman decided it needed a unit number on it.
