For the oil pressure, the senders seem to get kinda weak. It's that weird BST thread so you need an adapter for most gauges.
They do idle alarmingly low, but if the edic doesn't shut it back off right after startup, it's probably good enough.
EDIT...missed you saying the edic didn't work. Meh. They suck anyways. String pulls rule.
In my old 24v BJ70 I stuck a 12v sender in and it perked the placebo needle up nicely.
