Please make a dash surround.

I've got a guy fixing to make a surround for me out of mild steel. When its done, I'll post some pictures. The bottom section where the stock switches go will be a solid panel. This way I can put my own switches in the way I want them

S,

Trying to find a full on metal stamp or 3D print for this currently. I along with most can make a face plate all day long, but to get the insets and smoothed radius inner and outer corners to match the OEM exactly is another story. Custom plain face plates can be had for about $15-$20. I can get the face plates in process easily, no real chore there.

R, you should start your own thread and start selling those........

It would be so nice to have a metal surround that was OEM looking but could be still be slightly customized. Mine currently has a rear defog switch and 4 blank plastic covers! It would be nice to clean it up.

And this is where the COIN starts to eat into the pockets of all 60 owners...

HA

Such is the story of any old vehicle rebuild. More often than not it comes down to a couple specialty companies producing limited run parts. You're well on your way to being the go to guy for 60 parts Jason. From a guy that plays with 60 series a lot, thank you for your efforts.

Jason I'm over here at Bear lake and brought my 60 up from AZ. maybe I should blast over and buy one or two of everything that fits to lighten your load on the move! Did you ship my b pillars yet?

HA! Not yet I hope to get to some of these to this week/end.

I am flying back to AZ on Saturday and then drive the hundy back to the lake around end of May. You can send them to a buddies house over here at the lake, he can take them for me so they are here when I get back end of May. Should I PM you his addy? Probably a bit cheaper for you to send them to his place than Tucson. Then it is one less thing I got to haul north come May 25.

T,

I made a note on your shipping address to contact you before shipping. I'll be in touch soon

J
Very good. When you do ship I will take two of those mirror gasket pads in the box too.

Andrea said I can play in the shop tomorrow. But, I have to get a few things done this afternoon with her.... SO I'M ON MUD AS USUAL!!! HEE HEE!!!

Sorry for the hijack, got a guy working on the HVAC surround right now. When he is done, I'll start a thread so as not to clog up yours Jason. Will either be out of aluminum or mild steel.

R,

So is it a fully cnc bent out, inset, recessed and countersunk piece or just a 10$ faceplate?

Not sure how he is going to make it. Told him that I wanted it to look and mount like the original. When he gets further along with it and sends me some pictures, Ill post them up

With no set directions from the client... Hope he's not charging by the hour... GOOD LUCK!

I see you're getting good use out of the trailer.
My pile of TT parts has its own shelf in my shop. My life has finally slowed a bit and will be able to start some assembly over the next several weeks. Can't wait to get your pieces on the 60. Will send pics as I get them installed.
