Here are all the parts to build a custom Toyota axle housing.

Axle alignment jig:
  • 1.25" solid chrome plated alignment bar
  • Alignment pucks for 4 cyl, 6 cyl, and Land Cruiser 9.5 Diffs
  • Alignment pucks that thread onto the end of a Toyota spindle
  • Alignment pucks for the front axle oil seal on mini trucks and FZJ80's

Plus, I have most of the parts to build a full float rear housing, including:

the jig has been used to make 3 axle housings.

Asking $450 for the alignment jig

Asking $400 for the axle parts

OR: $800 for everything.

The jig & parts are located in Scotts Valley, CA.

The solid bar is 84" long.

The axle shafts are Trail-Gear (Longfield) shafts. I drove down to their shop and went through a couple to make sure a FJ80 drive flange would fit with the c-clip. This way it can be used with a mini truck hub (for 57" wide) or IFS toyota hub (for 60" wide)

I don't know how to go about shipping a 7' long piece of solid steel across the country, because of that I would prefer to sell locally (or deliver to the Valley Hybrids swap meet this weekend). But if I still have it next week, I'll be open to try shipping it.

Cool. Thanks for the response and I understand wanting to sell local. I could probably source a true bar locally. I am more interested in the pucks. I understand these parts are probably more valuable as a package, but I would be interested in the pucks themselves also. I haven't seen a source for these specific pieces.
Have fun at the swap meet, I'm sure it will be a blast.

84" is doable.

If you can either drop at a FedEx office or carefully box and a Fastenal Store, freight shouldn't be an issue.

Have accounts at both, so nothing to do but drop (well, and box, if Fastenal).

was going to say Fastenal...,what a great tool to have...maybe Chris will rent it out...

Pass it around, was more my thinking, since I've only need for setting up the two RS housings.

Don't know how to go about, but would want to add a means to lock the balls together and a way to fix the center and tubes in a fixture.

Sale Pending on the axle jig

There's a guy on pirate... That's where I got mine. I'll see if I can track down the thread.

That would be much appreciated. I searched for hours using different keywords and couldn't find anything.

Could a jig like this be used to fabricate a shortened FJ60 rear axle to match the length of a late FJ40 rear axle? If so, I think it would generate a lot of interest for those wanting to install a late H41/H55f with split transfer case. It seems like it's the easiest way to retain parking brakes, and would save a little length (~7/8") on an H55f installation (no parking brake drum on rear of case). There are plenty of good used FJ60 axle housings and brake hardware out there waiting to be put to good use. Probably long side FJ40 rear axle shafts. Not so much with drum parking brake split transfer cases/conversion parts. Because I'm putting an '84 H41 in my '71 FJ40 I don't have many installation issues, so I sprung for a parking brake split case.

this would have come in so handy when I narrowed my fzj80 rear for my 55...

I long sold this jig, but I originally purchased it from Dean.
