I was trying to change my Avatar and its not updating. I go to select a file and click the file to upload and it says upload successful but it doesn't actually update the avatar? Am I doing something wrong?

Messing with CDN settings right now, which is what serves the Avatar when it's active.

Still doesn't work.
I must say the interface is horrible too. Very confusing. Nothing ever happens when you press on Okay;never did, even before it was broken. I don't understand the purpose of the option for deleting the current avatar. There is no upload button for after you choose a new file, or any indication that it is uploading.
I don't even know how I got this current avatar to work. I tried three different things, none appeared to work, so I gave up, then a few minutes later it was changed, as if my magic.
Tonight it's not changing.

Annd....the same thing happened. 7 minutes later my avatar changed to the file that I was attempting to upload.
So it kind of works, but really really incredibly poorly.
And I still don't know which combinations of buttons I pressed in the upload avatar interface to make it work. And I'm one of the smartest people I know regarding figuring out software interfaces.

Adjusted a CDN setting, mine updated immediately.
Instructions state to click the current avatar to change...so I did...chose a file...watched 3 little bars on the upper right of the screen "move" while the image uploaded...then clicked save. No need to click delete unless you want no avatar at all.

Just tried again. It did upload immediately this time. Saw the three bars this time (I've never seen those before, ever, those are goofy and hard to see if you don't know to look for them).
Once it finishes uploading, the filename disappears and it says "no file chosen", as if it didn't work, and the avatar shown in the dialog box does not change, also indicating that it didn't work.
There is no Save button. There is Okay and Close. Clicking on Okay has no apparent effect, indicating that it didn't work. Clicking on Close closes the box. THEN my avatar changed on the account screen.
There is a "Save Changes" button at the bottom of the account screen, but you don't need to click on that to save your new avatar apparently. I didn't click on it but the new avatar still took.

Every file upload includes those "little bars"...attachments included

Yeah I never saw the bars before. I guess I didn't need them because the rest of the interface showed me that what I was doing was working.

Weird thing happened, When I last logged off my avatar was still the same one that wouldn't change from. Logged back on and it was updated to the avatar I was trying to change it too. Oh well, glad its working now. Good job on the forum, I really like the new design.

I went through some of the same confusion as already posted...then the next day, my avatar had changed.
