Eventually I'm going to swap my '71's engine with a 350 or something similar. When I do, I'm thinking about putting in an automatic transmission with the shifter on the column to maintain the original styling/look and keep the bench seat in place. Has anyone done this before, got pictures maybe? I'm assuming I'll need to swap out the column with either a GM one or maybe there's a custom one out there somewhere... mostly just posting to get the idea out there and see what people think for now.
