Cracked my windshield the other day. Had it replaced with OEM glass. Now while in “auto wiper” mode it wipes once when rig is started. Anyone have a solution? My dealer has no idea. Go figure.....

If you pull the plug on the sensor, system acts like a normal variable-interval wiper. Rain on w'shield makes no difference.That doesn't sound normal to me. What happens if you disconnect the sensor? Many of us (myself included) have done this, the auto wipers are terrible. Disconnecting the sensor just turns them into typical delay wipers, which I prefer.

My installer advised that the sensor needs to be in perfect contact with the inside glass or the system gets goofy.

@SQRRRL Having my windshield replaced tomorrow. Came across this thread while doing my homework. Can’t seem to find any description of what a “Nell pad” is. Appreciate any guidance/education. Thanks!
