I also have plans to carry a spare in Moab. Plan to build a tray of some type across the wheel wells in the back with the spare mounted flat on top. Leaving room under for tools and spares.

Tony, would a 35" work, but 17"?
I have a set. I think I am going to use one on my mini even though it's shoes are 38". Tread is good.
Anybody else want one as a spare?

I will keep the spare. Or at least a spare. I'll continue to look for a 37" tire, then relinquish my 35 to Rome.

My tires arrived today!
So nice. 2 day shipping !
Now I have 4 projects started on my rig and none are finished.
5 if you count still no lube in the t cases.

talk about hot off the press! These tires are only 2 weeks old! Manufacturer date 6th week of 2017. Worth the 102 day wait for sure.

when I wake up tomorrow, I believe the tire mounting gnomes will have put my tires on my wheels...

Those tires exceed the mfr recomended tire size for your vehicle and it will handle differently than stock. Ill take them off your hands and disposedof them properly by shredding them on rocks under my 4 wheel tire shredding machine i built in my garage.

Yea they are 35's which is on the small size for our group but as a spare could work.
"Full disclosure"....The tires have good tread , only about 10k miles on them but they are old, have a manufacture date of 2006.
I went to have them rotated, balanced and white letters turned in and a chunk of rubber broke off of one of the tires when they dismounted.
That one tire is still "usable", especially as a spare, still seals fine. The other 3 are good but still old. As a set, too nice to throw away and too old to sell (at least for me). I went with new shoe, 35"x12.50x17 BFG KO2's.
