rear case is out.
Gears go in it tomorrow.
I might take out the front case as well, though I don't see a real reason to, other than clean it up and put a new seal in the trans.

pic of the 35s just to motivate Rome.

they are purdy and will look nice under a 2wd mini.

Can you get that one tire away from the puddle that is migrating toward it?

Got the gears mostly done, but not finished.
Spend most of the time making sure the tires were safe from any stray slush puddles.
I was surprised how little grinding is needed on the case. Aluminum grinds away quickly.

I'll finish them up tomorrow.
Gotta call PitBull. They told me to call this Thursday and get an update. I may be on the list for this shipment. I hope, I hope.

Do you really have inch worm gears in your riding mower?

Yes I do, Walter.

Got the gears done.
Glad I tore it down cause the front output bearing was bad. I had another one.
One of the lube tunes was bent and not supplying lube to the transfer part. Hence the bad bearing I'm thinking. Had another tube.
Had the detent ball I lost in my box of other tcase parts.

Pitbull says my tires are on this shipment and should ship Friday or Monday !!!!
Woot woot!!!!

2.5 quarts with duals, right?
Bought a gallon today and found I had a gallon already. Maybe I'll change the rear diff fluid.
I drained and refilled the front after SD. When I had to put the new seals in the ends of the tubes.
Trans got fresh bout year and a half ago.
Sure felt great to spin a wrench on my wheeler after so long. Love being in the shop.
Wearing my jeans!

Back out Monday and Tuesday for more progress!

Mine puke if i put more than 2qts in. The cases will let you know how much they need. Feel the duals, be the duals....

How is your shoulder and all pertinent body parts holding up?

Shoulder is best body fix I've had.
The rest is meh. You play the game with the hand your delt.

Hoff, you're sick and demented. 2 qualities I look for in a friend.

Should I continue to carry my 35" spare?
Should I give it to Rome?
It is a bit larger than 35" , but just.
I know most don't carry a spare.
I put it on the back for weight mostly in an attempt to smooth out the ride.
I have kicked around building A metal tray type rear bed storage type thingy.
You'd have to be in my mind to see the idea and that can be a scary place.
I need a place to mount my on board air tank.

I would continue to carry a spare for the weight balance.

If you have the spare keep carrying it. I plan on adding one before moab

Keep the spare.

Anyone have an extra 37" tires that fits a 15" wheel?

You should be ok with a 35 spare expecially since its just to get you back to the trailer.
