I got it just right! This is not rubbing!

Yes, it is sexy.

Yes it does ride smoother with the new tires.
I was at 7 psi rear and 9 psi front.
I plan to try 5 and 7 at the badlands.

Yes I plan to make room for the drag link.

Yes, I like the hook mount. I took a piece of an old serpentine belt and made a loop that is bolted to the core support. Brought it through the grill. It's quite strong and works well.

All the mods were completely worth the time and $$.
Truck works very well.
Ride is better.
Tires......fxxx yeah......awesome.
Gears.........ffuuuuuuuuckkk yes......amazing.
Bed, seats, body mods all made me happy on the trail.

Adding power steering pump to my list.
Is now the time to go hydro assist?
I think it might be.

It is. You either think it now or will know it at flat nasty and moab. I have a drilled and tapped box housing you can have. Then just a couple hoses and 90$ surplus center ram, a little scrap metal and welding wire and your done.

Those 37s... Aired down, will be much harder to turn. And now that you can crawl steering will be much harder! You won't have momentum or rpm's.

Yes I want to do it. Yes I'll take that box.
Yes I still have a coupla boxes to make more from if needed.

Can't wait to see this thing in action, Tony.

It's better than ever, by leaps and bounds!

Ordering Hydro assist parts this week.
Seems fairly easy to drill and tap the box.
I may give it a go with the spare box I have in the shop.
I'm ordering 2 extra lines just cause.

Pro tip for today.
When installing one of these trusses. Remove your fill plug, weld a 17mm nut to the outside of it and then reinstall it. The hole in the truss is exactly the same diameter as the 24mm socket. If you don't get it perfect, you can't get the socket on the plug.
I put the socket on the plug (24mm) and then lined up the truss.....still fxxxed after I had it welded up, couldn't get the socket to turn when on the plug due to binding up.

Just fill it through the vent. It will be fine.
Your welcome. Next problem?

Yup, how would you get the nozzle in the hole anyway? The tip wont reach past that truss....

Kind of like why i could never hook up with a big assed chick, i would bottom out well before getting to anything good...

I did fill it through the vent hole. Took nearly 40 minutes cause you gotta go really really really slow.

I put the gear oil out in the sun, before I even started modifying the piece.
That must have been the problem.

Can you weld a nut or a bolt to the fill plug to turn it out. Then, while on bench, you can weld a 14mm nut to it....

Wft...trailer queens need gear oil??!

Yes Walter they do.

I'll work at getting it out later. Right now, I'm still annoyed that I didn't think of that before I put it on.
I thought having the socket on it for alignment purposes was the trick.

I was wrong.

Take that socket to the grinder till theres damn near nothing left!
