He states many times that it's a one owner vehicle, then he says "When I got the car I went through it and did all of the maintenance." So, either he inherited it or it's a two owner vehicle. [edit he says at the end of the video that the person he bought it from was the original owner]

There's a video link in the add. In the CL pictures and the video he shows that there's a locker switch, but he doesn't mention it. Then he zooms in on the door tag. K292 means it's not factory locked, right? He says several times that he doesn't know anything about these trucks. Maybe too often.

From my notes:
K292=No lockers
K294=Lockers
How I remember
"292, no Locker For You!"
"294, lockers per the door" (sticker on the door)

"EVERYTHING works..." "...the ABS light comes on when it rains, it's likely just a sensor"

Screams dude who knew enough that these were worth more than whoever was selling listed it for and is going for the flip. Now, and this is not to say the seller did it or not, but personally, anyone that willingly puts in a locker switch with no lockers is downright malicious.

Just another a****** flipper trying to **** somebody out of their money.

Guilty as charged.

This seller is a con artist. He had already listed this same 80 series for sale back in CraigsList the 1st week of March in Austin.

I went and looked at it, crawled under, through, and drove it. (It is a k292, No factory lockers, based on what I saw when I looked at it back at beginning of March it is highly unlikely that he added lockers wired to the factory locker knob in the dash since I saw it in March. But I could be wrong. Only way to tell is to go drive it and see if the lockers engage, right ? Simple to test.)

Here is my assessment from when I went to look at it the 1st week in march. I posted on a different thread:

Are you sure? That one had 273k miles and some body damage. This one has 216k.

Regardless, seems shady as hell.

Yes - the thread which is OP in the link I posted above was for the 273k mike truck.
Scroll down to the comment I posted on March 2nd (which is for this truck which is live on CL again now, and shady AF). The CarFax is also listed there ... the Round Rock Texas 80 series collectors edition. The one where the seller says he is selling because it is his sister's "but she moved away and isn't coming back so she signed the title for me to sell it for her"
It is the same truck as this new CL post for Collectors Edition with 216k miles. Same rear quarter panel damage on PS, same clear coat fade on hood , same seat covers and mileage. Seller just put on different wheels on his new CL listing.

buyer beware ... run

uh oh...

He's posted on the "Toyota 80 Series USA" page too. He's getting a LOT of blowback.

Buyer beware! Yea, what a conartist! I did speak to him, and reiterate, conartist!

Another crack smoker at that price in that condition!!! I wouldn't give a penny over $7K for this one!
