Great looking rig. I am looking at building a Tundra as well for work, insurance adjuster. How are you liking the RSI Smart Cap and the Decked system? What are your thoughts on the SDHQ kit?

It is hard finding a good build thread on a 3rd gen Tundra.

@OffRoadScott - come on in , the water's fine (but do CPO or new....) I'm a bit behind Atwalz on this build but have SCS's waiting for some 37's and a decked setup in the shop to install this weekend...

As much as a I loved my 80 - this is a great DD.... and it covers ground better then my 200 did....even modified.

So looking forward to a "light " build..... isn't that how they always start.....

Should you get one I'll have the TRD PRO suspension avail shortly... and the TRD rims/ 295's....

My thoughts initially I was planning on setting up camp in RSI smartcap over decked drawers. I like functionality of drawers but at cost of losing space and added weight. Winch wiring was easier with SHDQ pass thru setup. Also easy to add switch panel. I have not added switches yet.

We just added 2025 ford F550 4x4 entegra coach accolade XT- 29T floor plan. I was building the rig for our trip to Alaska this summer. But now we are going in Motor home. I eventually will need to figure out if I want to setup Tundra or 80 for flat towing or trailer them.

for Alaska, the 80 would be epic..... that was / is on my bucket list .... and was the vison when I built my 200..... but as primary vehicle, not a tow behind...

The truck would be mainly for work so I was thinking of doing a decked system and a bed shell. The bed shell could also get double duty as a sleeping arrangement as I am sure I will get a lot of windshield time during storm season.

@Atwalz so today I was at SDHQ they are a dealer for my current employer (Interstate Batteries). I was talking to them and they are in the planning/development stage for a kit similar to what you installed in your Tundra for the LC 250.
