Sold my 200 series and picked up 2024 Tundra HV4x4 TRD off-road limited 6.5’ bed. It’s a joy to drive a twin-turbo with hybrid assist.

So far I added the following in order:

  1. slee wireless charging.
  2. Installed good year in channel window wind deflectors.
  3. Installed RCI engine, transmission and cat skids.
  4. Installed RCI sliders.
  5. Installed 3" TRD Lift with 80 series Icon rear springs
  6. Spidertrax 1" spacer, body mount horn trim, 37.5x12.5x20 ATs
  7. OEM DashCam
  8. CBI front spoiler delete module
  9. RSI SmartCap EVO adventure
  10. Decked Drawer System
  11. Expedition one Range Max Ultra Front Bumper with XD Bullbar and Diode Dynamics SS3 Pods (pro output) amber.
  12. SDHQ Tundra Hyrbrid Power under hood power solution kit
  13. Goal Zero Alta 50

3” TRD lift has arrived. I will be installing it in few weeks.

How was this install?
Installation was easy. I watched a YouTube video before installing it to familiarize myself before taking the dash apart. It comes with installation instructions.

Finished installing 3” TRD lift kit. Used all components supplied in kit with exception of rear springs and rear Panhard bar. I opted to use icon 80 series rear springs instead of TRD spacer. In front I set clip to upper slot due to hybrid model which is consistent with TRD instructions. I used DR KDSS panhard bar bracket to correct panhard bar angle. I did not delete front spoiler. It had an interference with sway bar brackets. After some trimming of spoiler interference no longer an issue. I will schedule alignment soon.

Can you post the part number for the tie rod brace?

@turbo8 See the attached pdf with all part numbers and another pdf with all torque specs. For the TRE sleeves, I think you will need to swap out TREs as well.

I was shopping for either GFC, proj M, tune outdoor M1, fiberglass camper (ARE, Leer, Century) and SmartCap. Decided to go with SmartCap as I did not wanted weight of full time camper on rig like FWC Proj M. Cost was another factor. I wanted something that is well built to handle Offroading. SmartCap is well built and weighs 266lbs and dynamic roof load 350 lbs. It also has various roof rack options. I don’t plan to a roof top tent as I can setup camping inside or use ground tent. I went with adventure option which comes with metal gullwings doors. So far I like. Assembly was good to as long as floor is leveled. Three people was able to install it on it. Still waiting for t harness to finish wiring third brake light.

Look forward to more pics as your build progresses...... we're thinking much alike... Decked is in my future - debating the slideout for it - and then a smartcap Defender seems perfect.... but first suspension and 37's....

I wanted defender version of Smartcap but RSI does not have one for 6.5 ft bed. I believe 5.5 ft short bed is available.

Assembled and installed decked drawer system. Happy with quality of the product
