All - I am looking for some off road lighting and was going to pull the trigger on the ARB 32 intensity lights. Are these worth ~$700 per light? This seems a little crazy to me (and I am a huge ARB fan). Are there alternatives? I have the front ARB deluxe bull bar so would be looking for something that would bolt right on.

Baja Designs LP9.
11,025 lumens vs ARB's 9,300.

Baja Designs - LP9 Auxiliary Lights

Baja Designs is truly amazing quality. I've seen those in person and their build is impressive to say the least.
My ONLY hesitation on that unit would be the deep, recessed holes in front that seem like they might be hard to clear mud from...but no biggie.
...but wow. A serious piece of hardware in those Bajas, and also cool that they are based right here in San Diego County (San Marcos, which is about 35 minute drive north of San Diego).

Baja also makes some extremely powerful smaller driving lights that a fellow mudder let me check out. Incredibly bright from a small footprint.

Another alternative I use and am super happy with are Stedi lights from Australia.
I have these (see link) and they are awesome at well below half the cost of the ARBs, with SUPER stout mounts (survived a direct deer strike), and they include all hardware--with a switch that links to your brights (when you want it to)...all mounts...sets of both clear and black covers, & full wiring harness.

See here for Stedi: Note the prices are in AUSTRALIAN dollars, so cheaper here. I got the pair and full kit for basically $600, shipped to the US. They tend to to sell out every batch they manufacture, so plan ahead or call them directly in Australia.

PS. Here are the Stedi's on my truck:
(I also like that I'm not forced to have red bezels like the ARBs)

Yeah, I was a Rigid fan for a while. But the Baja Designs seem pretty great. We'll see how they perform in Baja.

If you're looking to buy get with a vendor for the best deal. MRT or Jason can get you a set.

Ya, Rigid makes the ARBs... Quality stuff for sure, but man-- Too much coin for me.

Watching the videos, Stedi seemed brighter and has wider angle than Baja.

Those Stedi are way nice.

I've helped a couple friends install the 9" Nilight from Amazon and for the money they are really impressive and hard to beat.

Another option, I have a set of Aurora 7" LED driving light with combo beams and they are great. I got them from the manufacturer direct off Alibaba, with a harness they were just shy of $300 for the pair.

So lots of options out there, you just have to decide how much you want to spend.

Baja Designs has three different beam patterns vs Stedi only being available in driving lights form.

I don't know if the 13300 lumens is for both or each Stedi lights but the 12k LP9s number is each in a smaller form (8 inch vs 8.5 inch). That being said, the Stedi are significantly less expensive.

But whatever tickles your pickle.

The Stedis I have are designed as combo lights (long-throw and wide)...so there are some LED rows that deflectors for spreading wider light...and more rows that are more spot...though not like a light canon with just a tiny circle in the distance. All very useful light with great distance as well as spread. So basically it’s like having one spot and one wide as one might do ARB...but both stedis provide both types. I find it very effective.

I see... Interesting. I was going off of this that just states "driving lights". Maybe that means something different in the land of muscular marsupials.

LED Spot Lights

Ya, I shouldn’t use the word “spot,” because that’s not not it is. Maybe a better description would be driving+wide...with exceptionally-good distance throw. But anyway, check out their comparison videos as they pretty accurately reflect what these illuminate in real use.

I've got the S8 40" light bar on my rig and an order in for a set of BD LP's tp replace an amazing set of Vision X 8.7" LED's....... the Vision's are amazing as long as you're running 100mph... at 2 miles they illuminate 3 lanes wide. they're true "spots"....

Looking forward to how the Lp9's run -I ordered the combo's to go with the Stealth....

Nice! where did you mount the bar?

it's tucked into the Prinsu rack fairing and uses the prinsu mount kit....

E, you planning on making to Colorado with the LCDC crew this year?
really want to see the storm trooper in person.

How do the LP9's compare to the vision x light cannons? Did you lose any distance?

Check out the Stedi Type-X PRO Driving Lights.

"No doubt the attention grabber is the unrelenting beam distance of 1.155km, however, the real strength of our Type-X™ PRO is in mid to long-range light distribution that really sets it apart."

Then compare the light distribution of the Stedi Type-X PRO with the 'original' Stedi Type-X Driving Lights.

A pair of the 'original' Stedi Type-X and a pair of the Stedi Type-X PRO Driving Lights would be a 'killer' combination but who has room for four 8.5" lights on their LC200 front bumper?

I wanted good light distribution from 200 meters to 500 meters (when needed) so I bought a pair of Stedi Type-X PRO Driving Lights and a pair of RIGID D-Series PRO Driving Lights.

Here is a full image of my truck with the pair of Stedi Type-X PRO Driving Lights on my ARB winch bumper (and the pair of RIGID D-Series PRO Driving Lights in Slee ARB Light Brackets).

Check out the new Stedi Type-X SPORT Driving Lights.

Looks like they should be available on December 9th, 2019 (9/12/2019).

"Three years since the inception of original Type-X, we’ve taken an already proven platform and completely redesigned it from the ground up. All-new reflector geometry, all-new LEDs and all-new housing. We’ve increased the depth of the optics by 35% allowing for a perfectly collimated beam and the resultant increase in light intensity. The beam diameter strikes a sublime balance between width and throw and will send light right out to 1,050m. Four dedicated built-in wide-beam optics disperse light in the nearfield, and transition beautifully with the spot beam."
