April '77 Wiper Arms

I understand these are no longer available from Toyota. Is anyone using a substitute arm that will work with the splines & retainer nut? I see some arms for a RHD vehicle on EBAY. Is anyone using these on their LHDs?

New PN which is all black - not pewter.

85190-90305 - wiper arm (L or R)
85220-90A02- blade (L or R)
85195-95700 - cover (L or R)
90179-06158 - nut (2x needed)

My 40 is an April '77. I'm seeing this P/N is for Oct '77 they '84.

It'll work, once Toyota shifted to the lower wipers they were the same (except for the tri-wipers on LX's in Japan), just supercessions for color, etc.

If you don't trust me, then buy one and test fit. That's how the game works for old stuff since going to junkyards to swap doesn't work for these trucks any longer.

I didn’t know about the newer part numbers for OEM. The other option is VW bug arms. They have the same spline attachment and length. At least for earlier cruisers they work. I accidentally bought ones with the bend in the wrong direction, but figured it was easier to cut and weld them then return them.

Huh. I've got a new set of wipers I never took out of the bag. I wonder if they're black or silver
