WTF! We've had this box for over 20 years. Why does the Gov now need info (that they already have) for us to recieve mail..
This applies the everyone in the household, even minors..
"Applicant must select and enter the ID number for two items of valid identification listed below. You must present the IDs at a post Office. One item must contain a photograph and one must be traceable to the bearer (prove your physical address). Both must be current".
*State Drvers license..
*Passport, alien registration card or cert of naturalization..
*Current lease, mortgage or deed of trust (acct # req'd)..
*Voter or vehicle registration card..
*Home or vehicle insurance policy (acct # req'd)..
*Armed forces, government, university or reconized corporate id card.
Am I required to provide ID everytime my kids get a birthday card from Nana?
And what if my wife didn't drive, didn't vote, and isn't in the marines (and is a legal citizen), Would I have to do the same?

Well now let's say the nice young men in their dark suits need to have a word with you... How they gonna do that from a PO Box?

How about moving out of the single-wide that's out in the middle of nowhere, find a civilized place with running water and electricity and you'd be able to just walk to your new fancy mailbox. :)

Kind rude, even for you Shannon....you must have been pissed off that the Under 9 Cambodian little league regional championship game coverage was cancelled on ESPN 17 last night to write such a comment... :flipoff2:

Hey, I was just helpin a brutha out, splitshot does list his location as podunk.

Don't flame me but do you think this has something to do with that news story a seen a few years back. I believe it was Douglas, AZ that had more PO boxes then residents. Something to do with people coming across the border to collect their social security checks. Timing is about right for how fast the goverment works to correct a problem. So now I guess there will be homes in Douglas reporting fifty people living in them. In a couple of years that will come to light and a couple of more years to figure how to solve it.:bang:

I wonder how long it will be before they figure out some of these Social Security numbers are reporting five full time jobs. But I guess as long as the tax money keeps coming in they will look the other way.

I put on a flame suit so go ahead:rolleyes:

X2, good point, I just don't have any faith of the Government trying to solve any problem without screwing it up..
