I got the unit with the group buy but have decided to not install it. If someone wants one I'll take $100 less than what I paid.
PM me if interested. I only opened the shipping box to see what was inside. Otherwise, it's brand new never touched.

So I'm still messing around with my NP unit. I need to look at the microphone female plug and verify it's seated correctly as I'm still getting poor quality on that mic input. But what's strange is that when I'm "speaking" to Google (dictating an SMS message, or asking it to navigate me somewhere) I don't have to yell like I do on a phone call.

I'm also experiencing another "issue". When Google is prompting me or reading off an SMS message, the speakers sound "blown out" like the gain for the AUX input is set _way_ too high. I'm curious if anyone has experienced this. Thanks!

I have been having problems with the mic on phone calls using CarPlay. Everything else works great but the mic gain on mine seems like it is set too low.

Do you have the same issue when you're telling Siri to do something? I've found I can speak in a normal voice when I tell Google Assistant to do something. Curious if it's the same with Apple. Thanks!

Not sure if this behavior is unique to mine or if there is a setting I can change (other than disabling) but with the "auto" setting for the cameras when you slow to a crawl it kicks out of the NP interface and goes back to stock nav every single time. Everyone else get that? Anyone defeat that besides disabling auto cameras?

Other than that it has worked great and is a huge bump in utility over stock.

OK, Siri seems to always get my commands even when the CarPlay phone calls suck.
That's interesting. That is the same behavior I'm seeing. I think the audio levels are jacked up. For me, the Android Auto Google Assistant voice is overblown (too much gain) and the mic input send to have too little gain. Before I had the 200 I had a Sequoia with Alpine ILX-F309. It has individual levels for AA notifications and phone calls, etc. This seems like something that can only be fixed by NaviPlus.

Are there any identifying markings on the main box that does the Android auto processing? It's likely naviplus are obtaining this from a manufacturer like Lsailt (as their website is devoid of images of the product itself) so there may be additional avenues to explore if naviplus aren't responsive.

So the Android Auto/Car Play unit is called NetPlay, made by Network Electronics Incorporated. They might be my next step. However, NaviPlus got back to me and told me that this is weird and instructed me to purchase a different microphone and try it. It's entirely likely I have a bad mic. When I was testing out calls the other day, I was told that I'm crackly and breaking up. That sounds like bad wiring to me. But I need to make the purchase and I'll find out!

What kind of mic did they suggest?

then couldn't get sound over carplay. BOTH were user error, and between myself and Naviplus emailing we were able to actually do the install while the "installer" watched.

Would you be able to share (if you remember) how you ended up getting audio through CarPlay? I emailed them this afternoon but they are out of the office for the holidays. Install was done in a hurry right before LCDC and audio was still routed through the old Bluetooth unit. Finally got around to removing the old Bluetooth and try to have the audio correctly routed, but didn’t have any luck this afternoon. The instructions for my unit didn’t mention what dip switches to have set, so I can only assume that it is set correctly. Directions also say to select an AUX mode, I don’t see where to do that.

Thanks for any help!

The stock infotainment source has to be on the "aux" input and then you press and hold the nav physical button on the dash for 2+ seconds to get it to toggle back and forth between the naviplus unit and the stock audio.
